Creating a blog through Blogger from Google is very simple. I had a Google account and a Blogger account from a course I took awhile back, so I was one step ahead. I like how you can create your own theme template, but wish they had more choices. Also, it did take me quite a few tries to create a URL blog link because some I chose were already taken and not available. I also really like the freedom of it, knowing that others on the World Wide Web can post and reply to your blog. Hitting the "Publish" icon makes sharing with people all around the world even more exciting! I told and showed my children Blogger and how to create a blog and they both thought it was neat. This is definitely a great collaboration tool for educators to utilize in their classroom, and as an outside the classroom communication tool as well. Teachers can assign blog journals, and instead of them writing in a notebook, they create an online blog that can be shared with peers and others around the world. Overall, creating blogs does make a writing more fun and interesting to read and it is an easy tool to utilize.
